IBSA Foundation in Barcelona with HappyLab
In 2026, IBSA Foundation for scientific research renews and expands its commitment to research: the number of grants increases from 6 to 7, for a total of seven Fellowships worth €32,000 each. The Research Equity Prize, worth €5,000, is also confirmed for this edition.

The collaboration between IBSA Foundation for scientific research and LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura continues in 2026. The new thematic programme for the season is dedicated to one of the most pressing questions of our time: the impact of artificial intelligence and new scientific frontiers on our idea of humanity.

Here are the winners of the 12th edition
The Scientific Committee of IBSA Foundation has selected the six winning projects from among 259 applications submitted from 45 different countries, awarding Fellowships of €32,000 each in the six scientific areas covered by the program.
On 27 May 2025, in the prestigious setting of Palazzo Giureconsulti in Milan, the official award ceremony brought together winners, Scientific Board members, and leading figures from the academic and scientific communities.

Temporary exhibition
Through the Clouds is the first temporary exhibition hosted at Carlo Cattaneo House. On display are two works from the Anthropocene Collection of MUSE Science Museum in Trento, selected by curator Stefano Cagol. The exhibition features the youngest artists in the collection: Giacomo Segantin and g. olmo stuppia. Admission is free and no reservation is required.

The Happiness2.0 project continues for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 school years.
Lots of new things are coming up for high school students in the Canton of Ticino: the new theme of artificial intelligence and numerous experiential workshops. From this year HappyLab for adults too!
