On 25 October 2021, 119 scholarships were awarded to students enrolled in the Bachelor's and Master's programmes of the USI Faculty of Biomedical Sciences.

The award ceremony took place in the new East Campus multipurpose room and was inaugurated by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Giovanni Pedrazzini, who explained how the scholarships work by presenting the regulations and the award criteria. Prof. Pedrazzini also shared the data for the 2021-2022 academic year, explained who the awards were given to, and expressed his heartfelt thanks to IBSA Foundation for its contribution to the university.

The ceremony was closed by IBSA’s President Arturo Licenziati, who addressed the students in the room, explaining the reasons for his commitment to the promotion of medical studies at USI:

"As IBSA Foundation we are proud to see a project that began in 2017 and that today is managing to support as many as 119 students become a reality. We strongly believe in the growth of the Faculty of Biomedicine for the development of the territory, and we are thrilled to support the training of future doctors. We have taken this commitment very seriously, confident that in the long term this project will be beneficial to everyone".

Some of the Faculty's professors, Founding Dean Mario Bianchetti and Director of IBSA Foundation for Scientific Research Silvia Misiti were also present.
