The project (meaning Culture and health) aims to demonstrate the positive impact of cultural activities on people's well-being by promoting initiatives and fostering synergies between culture and health.

University Course

The first university course on Culture and Health in Switzerland is aimed at students of the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences at USI Lugano and is also open to the public. 

Academic year 2023-24
For the current academic year, a training entitled "Words that Heal" is proposed.

Forum and Conferences

Within the initiatives promoted by the Cultura e Salute (Culture and Health) project, special attention is paid to the organization of forums and conferences open to the public.

These events, featuring the participation of renowned experts and speakers, provide valuable opportunities to present the latest scientific evidence and best practices at the national and international levels concerning the intersection of culture and health.

Cultura e Salute university course

The first of its kind in Switzerland, the course is offered to students of the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences at USI (Università della Svizzera italiana) in Lugano and is also open to the public.

The website was designed with a view to becoming Switzerland's go-to portal for “Culture and Health” and ensures maximum user accessibility.
It is available in four languages – Italian, French, German and English – and features a system that breaks down digital accessibility barriers, making it usable by people with visual or cognitive impairments.
